1999年製 シリアルナンバーが“51”という、初期のMenatone “King of the Britains”が入荷いたしました。後年は5ノブとなりますが、この初期の4ノブは特に人気の高い仕様となります。

King of the Britainsは、Marshall系ドライブペダルの良作としてペダル通に知られているモデルです。真空管をFETに置き換え、実際のMarshallのアンプの回路を小さな基板上に再現したような構造を持ち、ヴィンテージのMarshall “1959 Super Lead”のようなクランチ〜ディストーションを創出します。

粘りとキレを両立した音色、そして弾いた基音がしっかりと残るという、アンプ的な歪みのキャラクターを具えたペダル。ダイナミクスの再現性、ピッキングの強弱への追従性も十分にありますが、その一方で心地良いコンプ感もあり、アンプらしさ云々を差し引いても純粋に良いディストーションペダルといえます。

5ノブとなった時期のKing of the Britainsはクランチサウンドが秀逸ですが、この4ノブの個体は深く歪ませた際のディストーションサウンドに大きな魅力があります。スタックアンプのような圧力と、絶妙なコンプ感とタッチニュアンスの再現性とのバランスの良さは、この時期の個体ならではであると思います。

フットスイッチがFujisoku製3PDTであることも最初期ならではの特徴です。後年はミレニアムバイパス回路を使用した、Caring DPDTスイッチとなります。

 

CULTでは元々、非常に音色的に優れたKing of the Britains（4ノブ）を所有しておりましたが、その個体に合わせて、回路の定数の一部を変更しております。そのため、フルオリジナルの状態とはいえませんが、音色としては非常に優れた状態です。また、変更にはMenatoneが使うパーツとほぼ同じ外観のパーツを使っているため、一見しただけでは変更点は分からない仕上がりになっています。

全体的に使用感は多めとなっておりますが、動作は良好です。

改造歴：回路の定数を別のKing of The Britainsと同じものに変更しています

状態：経年相応の使用感がありますが、動作良好。裏蓋のネジが1本欠品。Bassのノブにカケあり。

However there were just one too many convoluted plot points, sentences just did not flow nicely at times, and I was left with a lot of confusion on my end. I think it has the bones of being a great story but seems like it was rushed and I had to push myself to finish the last of the book and was left with an unsatisfying ending. It’s definitely different from other omegaverse novels I’ve read but not for good reasons. I really think it could be great but needs some serious tweaking and editing before I’d read it again.

I cried my eyes out when he walked into the story. I was truly terrified he was going to be a bad guy to the end. However you truly did him such a justice by having him realize his faults & having him redeem himself in the most wonderful way. I’m so sad that he didn’t get to hear how much his brother loved him & forgave him before dying. But again you wrote that ending so beautifully & I just can’t express how much I loved this story & how you took a different route than most authors I have read have. You are a remarkable author Cinder Blaze & I thank you generously for creating such a masterpiece.

I was pleasantly surprised by this omega verse book. This 1 definitely had a few new twists And I really enjoyed reading it. The main female character was a badass and awesome. She had 1 best friend I wish we could have seen a little bit more of their friendship in this book. Her relationship with the male characters was good not to contrived or super instantaneous. And we had some fun plot twists that I didn't expect. I wish we had more of a follow up on the situation with her family her background and her mother who was a wench.
